Something I never thought I would do was trade in coffee for tea. I lost my taste for coffee during the great food aversion of pregnancy #2 and, to be honest, being a tea drinker has been one of the secret things I’ve always wanted be (and not just regular iced tea or something that comes bottled). As silly as all that sounds I’ve enjoyed brewing my own tea blends for years now for myself and our family. We drink tea both for enjoyment and for the health benefits.
Our current favorite blends involve hibiscus with cinnamon and clove but every now and then I add some chamomile to the mix. 🌺
When I was young I got to tour the Celestial Seasonings facility in Colorado while visiting some family. I enjoyed the tour (especially the crystallized sugar stir which I promptly ate instead of stirring into my tea) and ever since then the Sleepy Time Bear has had a nostalgic place in my heart. I decided not long ago to attempt to make one as a snuggler but also one that was small enough to hold in my hands. And here he is! I have yet to get a photoshoot with him with a Sleepy Time tea box but in due time. 🐻
I would love to get him a little green chair and side table with tea and goodies on it like the original artwork. Maybe I’ll come across some in his size someday. 🫖
